Great news for fans of orchestra-style steel-strings! Fender have just dropped the upgraded edition of the classic Paramount: the PO-220E. While all of the vintage details are still prominently present, this new all-solid guitar has taken a leap forward in terms of sound and build quality when compared to its popular predecessors. Here, that famed full-range acoustic sound comes with rounded trebles, boosted mids and a satisfying sustain, courtesy of a solid ovangkol body and a solid Sitka spruce top supported by redesigned offset X-bracing. Also, so you can keep the guitar in good nick, Fender throw in a deluxe hardshell guitar case.
The PO-220E: Homey Playing Comfort and Fuss-Free Controls
This electro-acoustic Fender FSR orchestra guitar treats your left hand to the playing comfort of a C-profile neck coated in satin-gloss lacquer, while the electronics have been souped up by an undersaddle Sonitone piezo pickup combined with a body-sensing pickup that's part of the specially-developed Sonitone Plus Soundhole Pickup System. That means you're set up with a blend control and a volume pot which can be used to tweak the balance between both pickups before dialling in the output level.

J' avais envie pour la première fois d'une guitare forme concert pour changer de mes dreadnoughts et je ne suis pas déçu ! Cette Fender de la gamme Paramount est très ergonomique au point que quand je l'ai prise en main, je me suis posé la question suivante : Comment j'ai pu me passer de cette forme jusque là.
Elle délivre une sonorité chaude de par son corps entièrement massif qui compense la taille. Elle est d'une justesse folle et équipée d'un Fishman super-fiable et discret commandable dans la rosace, elle pulse en concert. Les repères, le binding sont de toute beauté, pour un prix abordable avec l'étui rigide de belle facture aussi.
Un achat que je ne regrette pas. Cette guitare est top pour le fingerpicking et surtout le Blues. Moi qui craignais les Fender acoustiques, je suis rassuré.
Un point négatif : Elle mérite un petit réglage de l'action chez le luthier afin de s'exprimer pleinement. Mais franchement c'est histoire de...
