With Sugar Bytes Egoist, you grab a piece of audio, add slice positions and then trigger the slicing using the step sequencer. Before you know it, that same little bit of sound is transformed in a nice little groove. While you could use a couple of samplers to create a beat, Egoist nicely wraps all of the required functionality up into one easy to use slicer. Interestingly enough, there's also a 303-style bass generator and a drum computer loaded with over 1,000 kick, snare and hi-hat sounds built into Egoist. Do the adding up here, and you'll see the sum is an unshakable beat-creating foundation.
