Allmänt
Lots of overdrive pedal manufacturers claim to have captured the sound of a Marshall in a stompbox, but Xotic is one of the few who have really succeeded! Their SL drive is truly a 'Marshall in a box'. SL stands for 'Super Lead', one of the most coveted British amps ever made. What's more, the control panel features a clear layout and a comprehensive tone control.
Comprehensive tone control:
As well as three external controls, the pedal is equipped with four external dip switches. Use the first two to adjust the frequency range of the external tone control. Use switch number 3 to turn the high/mid cut on or off, and switch number 4 to add an additional 6dB boost. You end up with a delicious British overdrive that you can tweak to perfection.

Wat kan ik zeggen over de Xotic SL? Een Marshall-stack in een mini behuizing. En wat een te gek geluid. Mijn Marshall 4140, met zijn fantastische eigen geluid, wordt bij inschakelen van de Sl een Marshall-stack itself. De Sl is een fantastisch fx voor een breed vol overdriven/distorted gitaargeluid met mooie sustain in zowel slag- als solowerk. Ben zeer tevreden over het geluid, maar dat mag helder zijn.

Heerlijke distortion. Van "clean met een randje" tot zware hardrock-oversturing. Zowel voor solo als slag. Zeer veelzijdig instelbaar en lekker klein! Hij klinkt in hogere gain-settings vooral lekker smeuïg! Dik en vet dus en met een hele lichte maar daardoor lekkere compressie (alleen met veel gain dus). Pedaaltje voelt ook nog eens solide!
