Gibraltar is always looking to innovate and produce the next great piece of hardware, and with this product they have most certainly succeeded. The 9709UA-TP Ultra Adjust mini boom cymbal stand is part of their Turning Point line of hardware, that has been quite revolutionary itself!

The Turning Point series of cymbals has a number of innovative features that really set it apart from any other hardware series. First and foremost, there is the Arrow-light aluminium tripod. Gibraltar felt that cymbal stands were getting much too heavy and decided to do something about it. Instead of the regular, double-braced, steel tripod, they chose to go with a single-braced, aluminium system that cuts down the weight of the stand by 20% without affecting the stand's durability and stability. The legs are fitted with round rubber feet that add stability in any position. Furthermore, these stands feature the Super Lock height adjustment system that prevents metal-to-metal contact.

Ultra Adjust

It's all in the name. This particular Turning Point stand sets itself apart from others because of it's Ultra Adjust gearless positioning arm. This system allows you to angle the upper part of the cymbal stand in virtually any direction. On top of that (literally) you'll find a small, 10-inch boom arm that is fitted with a gearless brake tilter and Gibraltar's Swing Nut fast cymbal mounting system that does away with the traditional wing nuts.
