The tumba is known for it's full, rich and warm character of sound. This 12.5-inch example from Meinl not only gives you all of the tonality you would want from a tumba but also comes with a Antique Mahogany Burst finish. As part of the high-quality Woodcraft Series, the WC1212AMB has been made using American ash and finished with a natural buffalo-skin head and TTR chromed tension rim.
The Meinl WC1212AMB Woodcraft 12.5-inch Tumba: 'Cuban-Style'
The shell has been given an extra broad, 'Cuban-style' belly for a deep and round bass tonality. This slight yet effective design edit has been directly taken from antique Cuban instruments to reproduce the immense depth and extra rich sound they are known for. The tension rods have been fitted with special conga savers so keep the tension consistent and to retain the superior sound of this Woodcraft Series tumba.
