Ribbon microphones had always been very popular, thanks to their great sensitivity and their ability to accurately reproduce low frequencies. However, the rise of condenser microphones stole some of the limelight, forcing ribbon mics to the background a bit. Luckily, though, Shure is trying to change that with the KSM313! Because while condenser mics can handle increasingly lower frequencies, they're still not as good as ribbon mics. This Dual-Voice ribbon microphone is hand made in America, and thanks to some excellent engineering it turned out to be a highly durable mic that is excellently suited for use in the studio.
