Yamaha has brought out a number of successful products with the DXR/DXS active speaker series, the roots of which can be found in the prosperous DRS active speaker series. This 12-inch subwoofer (and the larger 12-inch version) can be combined with any of the various active speakers from its series. All products from the DXS series are finished with extremely high quality and can definitely take a beating!

Characteristics of the DXS 12

This DXS-12 active subwoofer by Yamaha is especially compact yet incredibly powerful. The subwoofer has a 950-watt class D amplifier with a 12-inch woofer, which is placed in an optimised acoustic band-pass housing. The subwoofer has many different export possibilities. Via the D-X-Sub low frequency you can reach extreme low-end frequencies from 47 Hz to 160 Hz. You can also choose to add a low-frequency boost or use the Xtended LF feature.

Use

The specs don't lie! The dynamic power of the subwoofer is no less than 950 watts, and it can be connected via the double XLR input. The dimensions are nice and compact with a width of 397 mm, a height of 563 mm, and a depth of 594 mm. The subwoofer weighs 33 kg and has a connection point on the top for the speaker pole. All in all, this subwoofer is an excellent addition to your DXR set!
