The PL 110 FA is the smallest member in the Pulsar family, a series that bridges the gap between the Premium Pro and Linear 5 series. Pulsar series speakers are perfect for DJs and musicians who are looking for great sound quality and considerable power. The PL 110 FA is a rugged speaker in a wooden housing. Wood was chosen as it is the material with the best acoustic properties. Furthermore, the speaker is equipped with a 10-inch woofer and a 1-inch compression driver that both have their own amplifier. The woofer is powered by a 650-watt amp, and the driver by a 350-watt amplifier.

HK Audio Pulsar PL 110 FA: powerful and versatile

To make the most out of its 1,000 watts of power, HK Audio fitted the PL 110 FA with a DSP engine that protects the speaker from overloading by means of a limiter. Moreover, you can adjust the EQ in the DSP so the speaker is optimally attuned to collaborate with other speakers such as a subwoofer, for instance. Lastly, you can use the delay to adjust the mutual timing of the independent speakers, preventing phase issues when you use several speakers at alternating distances. On the back, the PL 110 FA features two XLR/jack combo inputs and a single RCA input - each with its own volume control.

A wooden housing

These days, many speakers feature a plastic housing, but not the PL 110 FA - as it is a quality speaker, HK opted for a high-quality wooden housing. Wood is more rigid than plastic, keeping the sound crystal clear even at high volumes without affecting the mids and trebles. Naturally, wooden cabinets are very durable and able to cope with the hardships of life on the road. Thanks to a clever horn construction, the sound is broadly projected for a maximum, balanced dispersion.
