The Dynacord A 112A is an active speaker with a 12-inch woofer and a 1.5-inch compression driver for the trebles. Its built-in amplifier produces two times 500 watts of power, which is more than enough to fill an average pub. The housing of this speaker is made of 15mm plywood, making it very sturdy yet light of weight and thus great for mobile setups. The A 112A can be mounted on a stand or be used as a floor monitor.
Dynacord A 112A: Sonically Sound
The components of this active speaker are so well in tune with each other, that their combined sound will be music to your ears: crystal-clear trebles, pleasant mids and a warm and tight bass. Even without an added subwoofer this A 112A produces a proper dose of bass sounds that never become muddy. What's more, the overall volume this speaker is capable of is nothing short of enormous. Its built-in limiter will rarely need to do its job. Thanks to the A 112A's practical connectors, this speaker can be incorporated into various setups. Two times mono or a single stereo setup, with or without subwoofer, it's all up to you.
The Connectivity of the A 112A
On the back of the A 112A there are several connectors. The speaker is equipped with two inputs with their own volume control so you can mix the sound of two sources without a mixer. This is a great feature for singer-songwriters and band artists, as you can easily balance the sound of your microphone and MP3 player or guitar, for instance. The master volume control allows you to adjust the overall volume of both channels combined. The master volume control shares the master section with a switch that lets you decide whether you want to use the A 112A as a front-of-house speaker or a floor monitor. The difference between these two is in the EQ settings: the FOH setup employs a mid cut, whereas the monitor setting has a flat response.
