When you play Ibanez' AVN11, you could be forgiven for thinking that you've got a vintage parlour acoustic guitar in your hands. That's because this model from the Artwood Vintage series has a convincing look and sound. One of the main reasons for this is that the solid Caucasian spruce top and spruce X bracing have both undergone Ibanez' Thermo Aging process that dries out the wood giving the instrument more volume and an enhanced frequency range. The rest of the body and the neck on this beautiful guitar is made of mahogany.

AVN11: finish and playing comfort

The semi-gloss finish on the body enhances this guitar's good looks and the same finish on the neck gives you a smooth playing experience. The soft V neck profile also adds to this model's high level of playing comfort as does the relatively flat 15.75-inch fretboard radius and the 24.96-inch scale length. For optimal transference of the string vibrations to the body, the bridge saddle and string nut are both made of unbleached bone that's been impregnated with oil.
