MA-1: ergonomics

The 3/4 body of this Fender MA-1 is a lot easier to handle than a full-size acoustic Dreadnought or jumbo, not only because the body is smaller, but the scale length is a lot shorter too. As a result, the frets are closer together than on a standard guitar, making it easier for children to learn complex chords. Fender has fitted this instrument with high-quality components like a rosewood bridge with compensated saddle and a synthetic bone string nut.

Versatile sound

For the side and back of this parlour guitar, Fender opted for sapele, a tropical wood type that gives the MA-1 a full, warm tone and an impressive appearance as well. Combined with an agathis top and Fender Dura-Tone 880L strings, this steel-string offers a balanced sound with a bit of sparkle. The Fender logo on the head stock and the decorative rosette add the finishing touches to the MA-1, which looks as good as it sounds.
