The Pocketrak PR7 from Yamaha is a super compact XY-stereo recorder that you can use to record with a maximal resolution of 24-bit/96kHz. The linear PCM recorder is easy to use and works for hours on only one single battery. The beautiful stereo image and the natural sound of the PR7 is the product of two XY stereo microphones that pick up every detail. This handheld recorder provides you with up to 32 Gigabytes of storage and some handy tools, making the Poketrak PR7 incredibly versatile.

Pocketrak PR7: Recording quality
Along with the internal XY-microphones, the Poketrak PR7 includes a MIC/LINE-in for recording with external input sources. External sources can vary, from a condenser microphone or keyboard, to a full mix from a record from an FOH mixer. You can save your recording on 2 GB of internal memory. If you find that you need more space, you can always use a microSD/SDHC card with a maximum of 32 GB. The recorder is equipped with a headphone/line-out jack along with an internal speaker, so you can listen to your recordings. Recording tools
The Yamaha poketrak PR7 has many handy tools to help you record as easily as possible. It is equipped with five presets for optimized recording of concerts, recitals, as well as non-musical situations such as speeches or field recordings. It's also a handy tool for songwriters! A unique overdub feature allows you to easily add vocal or instrumental parts to an existing track. Punch in and out allows you to decide where additional recordings should begin and end. The recorder also includes a built-in tuner and metronome.
