The 500 series is one of Yamaha's best-selling western guitars. Now this reliable brand has brought out a revamped version: the 500II. The Yamaha APX500II's spruce top and System65 preamplifier give it a beautiful, clear sound whether it's played acoustic or amplified. This steel-string guitar plays incredibly comfortably due to the shorter strings, slim neck and cutaway, which makes it easy for you to reach the highest frets. The APX-500II also features an attractive dark red burst lacquer, elegant white bindings and a sound hole decorated with a mother-of-pearl rosette. The sound of the APX500II

The APX500II gets its rich, full sound from its spruce top. This sound is balanced out with clear, warm tones from the sides and back made of nato. Of course, this electro-acoustic guitar is also designed to be a powerful live instrument, and as such, you'll find a piëzo pickup at the bridge which picks up the sound and sends it to the preamplifier located on the side of the guitar. You can control the amplified sound with the 3-band equalizer and the AMF controller which balance out mids and reduce acoustic feedback. You don't have to worry about being able to tune your guitar on a dark stage either, thanks to the built-in tuner with display.
