The Mark V, better known as the Phantom, is back! Here you see the VOX Mark V Bass in black, which of course features the classic irregular pentagonal body, partially flattened headstock and large white pickguard. Naturally, this great vintage-style electric bass needed a comfortable short-scale neck, and it plays extra smoothly thanks to the slim design.

The traditional Phantom Bass Black

A classic instrument needs a classic sound, and that's why you'll find two single-coil pickups mounted at the bridge and neck for a bright bass sound. The sound at the neck is a bit brighter, while the sound at the bridge is darker, and you can find the perfect balance with the two volume knobs. Furthermore, the lightweight basswood body also features a tone control so you can minimise the trebles. A gig bag is included, making storage and transport a breeze.

VOX Teardrop and Phantom

The unique design of the VOX Teardrop and Phantom guitars dates back to the early sixties and still captures the imagination today. It's no wonder that second-hand models sold for high prices in the long period that VOX wasn't producing these electric guitars. However, lucky for you, some time ago they came out with the comparable Apache series, and not long after that VOX brought out the Mark III and the Mark V, due to popular demand.
