The electrical part of the EG512CG consists of a built-in pickup and Takamine's versatile TK-40B preamplifier. You get a gain knob for the volume, a 3-band EQ with bypass function, plus a bass boost for accentuating the bass sound. You also have a 400 Hz to 2 kHz Mid Shift function and a battery check at your disposal. The icing on the cake is the built-in chromatic tuner with LED display, which allows you to tune your bass on the darkest of stages.
