Seagull's Walnut SG is a beautiful acoustic western guitar with a dreadnought body. This guitar features a solid spruce top for a bright, transparent sound, and its sides and back are made of laminated walnut. With ever a keen eye for detail, Seagull embellished the sound hole with a lovely branded stamp in French, with goes beautifully with the attractive custom polished semi-gloss finish.

Walnut SG Dreadnought: Graph Tech Tusq

The string nut on this guitar is made of Tusq, a hard synthetic material produced by Graph Tech. Tusq is a self-lubricating material, which means that as a string nut it works to reduce string friction so your strings won't break as easily or as often. The compensated bridge saddle is made of the same material, and the bridge itself is made of rosewood for a lovely contrast with the light body. Another interesting feature of the Walnut SG is that the fretboard measures in at 47.7 mm wide, which is wider than your average western guitar to provide a more comfortable grip that's great for beginners and those accustomed to classical guitars.

Fretboard and top

The fretboard of the Walnut SG dreadnought is made of Indian rosewood and features 21 frets, along with white position markers. The characteristic tapered Seagull headstock tops everything off, and works to pull the strings straight for optimal tuning retention.
