The Jackson SLATTXMGQ3-7 is a seven-string Soloist model from the sharply priced X series. This guitar is perfect for metal musicians and other guitarists who like to play fast. Two active high-output EMG pickups provide the power that is required for tight sounds at the highest gain levels. The extra bass string (B flat) provides this guitar with a healthy dose of extra low tones. What really makes this guitar stand out is the pattern of quilted maple with a lacquer of transparent black on top.
The SLATTXMGQ3-7: speed and sustain
If you want to play fast solo parts, you'll definitely need a comfortable, smooth neck. As such, this SLATTXMGQ3-7 has a very slim Speed Neck and a compound radius-fretboard. This means that the fretboard is convex and flattens towards the body which allows for smooth solos but also comfortable chords. The characteristic, beautiful neck-through-body construction, together with the exceptionally solid TonePros string-through-body bridge, provide a more direct sound and a better sustain.
