Anyone who appreciates the full, rich sound of an electro-acoustic steel-string guitar but finds a dreadnought model too big and cumbersome should take a look at the Ibanez TCM50L. The body has the modest format of a solid-body electric guitar with a neck of matching proportions. Despite its relatively small size, this instrument produces impressive sound thanks to the combination of materials, hardware and electronics used. In short, the Ibanez TCM50 delivers the sound of a full-size electro-acoustic dreadnought without the drawbacks of a larger instrument. This left-handed version is available in a Brown Sunburst finish.

Construction of the TCM50L-VB

The first thing you notice about this attractive instrument is, of course, the finely grained ash wood top, which is partly responsible for generating the fantastic sound. Warm overtones are added to the overall sound by the mahogany back, sides and the 20-fret rosewood fretboard. The neck, sides and back are made of mahogany. All this together makes for a wonderfully balanced sound. Visually, the guitar is equally impressive with its beautiful bindings along the body and the contrasting inlaid pickguard.
