Back in the '60s, Hofner made a guitar aptly named the Verithin 4575. It's an extremely thin hollow-body guitar with three pickups. This semi-acoustic guitar sounded so good that Hofner brought it back among their ranks. The result is this Verythin Custom (Sunburst). This new version was given several modern upgrades, so it plays and sounds even better. It is the perfect combination of vintage design, Hofner's masterful craftsmanship and premium materials.

Characteristics of the Hofner Verythin Custom

The body of the Verythin Custom is made of Flamed Maple with an arched spruce top and back. There's a hand-made spruce centre block on the inside that prevents feedback and gives this guitar more sustain. Its neck is also made of Flamed Maple and supports a 22-fret ebony fretboard. The Hofner Verythin Custom produces a very clear yet surprisingly full sound.

Pickups and hardware

This electric guitar is equipped with three of Hofner's famous Diamond pickups. They are mini humbuckers that produce a sound that's between that of a humbucker and a single coil. The electronics of this guitar consist of a master volume and two tone controls that feature Hofner's Blend System, which work as conventional tone controls in positions 0 through 5 and as a middle-pickup blend-in in positions 5 to 10. The Verythin Custom hops effortlessly from sixties Hofner sounds to deep blues to scalding rock.
