Guild F-130 Natural GAD western guitar
Allmänt
Orchestra models have been part of the Guild catalogue since the fifties and sixties. Folk music was all the rage back then, so a tame, compact guitar with a direct sound (for fingerpicking and strumming) was ideal. This western guitar has remained popular since then, and that might have to do with its Guild name, which ensures outstanding quality. The Guild F-130 NAT (Natural) is an all-solid model from the GAD series, and as such it features a solid spruce top and solid mahogany sides and back. It also comes with a luxury case.
F-130 NAT: Sound, comfort and details
The spruce top of the F120 Natural is responsible for the crystal-clear sound this guitar produces. That clarity is supported by the deep, outspoken intonation produced by the mahogany. Ever focused on balance, the relatively small body ensures that the bass tones don't overwhelm the overall mix so you get the perfect sound. This is an excellent guitar for complex fingerpicking styles, thanks to the 1.75-inch string nut and slim neck, and it also makes for an attractive stage partner thanks to details like ivory bindings, a mother-of-pearl rosette and black and white purfling.
Guild GAD guitars
Guild has enjoyed an excellent reputation since they began building guitars in 1953, and their current incarnation of the GAD series (Guild Acoustic Design) offers you more value for your money than ever before. Each of the western guitars in the series has an all-solid body and is equipped with a number of tasteful, luxurious visual details. A lot of time was spent on ensuring maximum playing comfort during the design phase, and you can see that in the smooth-playing neck with a satin gloss finish. This guitar is an excellent choice for guitarists looking for a great sound and an impressive price to quality ratio.
