Fender American Standard Stratocaster Jade Pearl MN
Allmänt
The Fender American Standard Stratocaster is the modern, improved version of the original 1954 Strat. It has the same classic features that won the iconic guitar the hearts of many guitarists throughout the years. These include its slender, elegant alder body, its vintage tremolo, its comfortable, rolled edge fretboard and the famous, clear single-coil sound. However, the American Standard Strat shows that Fender has not been stuck in the past as it features several modern innovations that make it play and sound better than ever before. This version has Fender's new Jade Pearl Metallic colour and a one-piece maple neck that makes it sound clearer and brighter than a version with a rosewood fretboard. Including a case and case candy.
American Standard Stratocaster: Custom Shop sound
One of the improvements made to the American Standard Stratocaster are the Custom Shop Fat '50s pickups. It is a set of high-quality alnico 5 single coils that you'd usually only find on the more exclusive Custom Shop guitars. These pickups produce that characteristically clear and vintage Strat sound with just a little more output and bass as well as milder mids. In other words: a wicked, full twang with just the right amount of sparkle. The middle pickup is reverse wound, providing a hum-free sound in pickup switch positions 2 and 4. The bottom tone knob is a no-load potentiometer, which means that right before you reach position 10 you'll feel a click and the potentiometer is taken out of the tone circuit. The result is a purer, more raw single-coil sound and an even feistier bridge pickup.
Classic Strat looks with modern innovations
Since its first appearance in the '50s, not much has changed about the looks of the Stratocaster. Its playability, however, has been drastically improved thanks to 22 medium jumbo frets, a modern (flatter) 9.5-inch fretboard radius and a two-way truss rod that enable an ultra-low action without annoying buzzing of strings or loss of notes during bends. The guitar's tremolo has also been modernised and fitted with two hinge points to better retain tuning. Its renewed vintage-style bent saddles cause less friction, countering string breakage on the bridge. Also, this guitar features staggered tuners, lowering the shafts of the D, G, B, and E string, eliminating the need for a second string guide, thus preventing unwanted noises so you get pure tone and lengthened sustain!
