With the Brennenstuhl automatic 7-way extension lead, you're getting your hands on quite a versatile product. The remarkable thing about this power strip is its master/slave mode. Say you plug your PC into the master socket, and your printer, external hard drive, speakers and monitor in the four slave sockets. That means that, if you turn on your PC, you'll also engage the four slave sockets - in other words, your PC will turn on the peripherals plugged into the slave sockets. Besides the master/slave sockets, there are also two permanent sockets for a router or a network printer, for instance. Of course, if you're so inclined, you can also set this extension lead to function as a 'regular' 7-way power strip.
