A moving head that draws the same light output as a 575-watt moving head from an MSD light? The American DJ Vizi Beam pulls it off thanks to its energy-efficient lamp: a Philips Platinum 5R bulb manages to produce 8,000 lumen from 160 watts! For the record: this isn't the only thing this device is capable of. Its 8000°K colour temperature intensifies the colours - something that's especially noticeable from the bright red the Vizi Beam produces. This colour, along with eleven other dichroic colours, occupies the colour wheel that is fully separate from the gobo wheel. On the gobo wheel, there are fourteen gobos, plus spot light. A frost filter creates a wash effect, so that this moving head has two functions: a wash and a spot light!

This American DJ Vizi Beam 5R is very well equipped in the control and function departments as you can control it via stand alone, sound, master/slave and DMX. The first three are worry-free - turn the moving head on and it will effortlessly run built-in programs all night, both at random or controlled by the beat. What's more, you can also chain several Vizi Beams and make them do exactly the same or exactly the opposite. If you really want to explore the full capabilities of the Vizi Beam, you can use the DMX-512 control mode that gives you full command over the very elaborate functions of the Vizi Beam. In addition to the stepper motors' pan and tilt motions, this moving head features auto focus, colour and gobo wheels, automatic X-Y repositioning, gobo scroll, strobe effect, pulse effect, electronic dimmer and so on.
