The Yamaha Stage Custom Birch series has been a favourite amongst drummers for years. Introduced in 1995, the model has received a number of updates since that time. Yamaha's chic Cranberry Red shell set is one such member of this series, and we think you'll be excited to experience this optimised birch set on stage! In this revamped version, Yamaha has proven again what a great eye for detail they have, and you'll see this in such aspects as the metal shell hardware, for example. This set has a fusion configuration and consists of a 20-inch bass drum, a 14-inch floor tom, two toms at 10 and 12 inches each and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum.

Small details

One interesting update this improved Stage Custom Birch drum kit has received can be found in the wooden hoops around the bass drum, which add a unique sound. In order to protect the bearing edge, you'll find that the clamps have been equipped with a rubber layer. Not only does this provide protection, but it also reduces vibration caused by contact between the hardware and the shells. It is easy to set everything up quickly and get it all into the perfect position, thanks to the improved bass drum feet. Furthermore, ten tension rods on the snare drum ensure extra tuning possibilities and optimal control over the snare sound. Finally, triple flanged metal hoops (1.5 mm) are featured on the toms for an open sound.

Drumheads

The YESS tom mounting system makes it easier than ever to rotate the toms, which is handy when tuning the tom drum heads. Speaking of drum heads, this shell set is equipped with top-quality Remo drum heads. On the bass drum you'll find a Remo Powerstroke 3 drum head with extra dampening for a solid bass sound. Remo Clear Ambassador drum heads are featured on the toms, and the snare has a Coated Ambassador drum head. Optimal quality parts go hand in hand with this valuable drum set. All you have to do is add your favourite cymbals and drum throne, and you'll be ready for the stage.

Hardware

The hardware package that comes with this set consists of two cymbal stands with tilters, a hi-hat stand, a snare stand and a bass drum pedal. All of the hardware comes from the Yamaha HW-680 series and is extra lightweight.
