Tama's years of experience as a manufacturer of drum kits clearly shines through in their Imperialstar series, which combines the use of high-grade materials with affordable prices. This drum kit comes in a rock configuration, which has a 22 x 18-inch bass drum, 10 x 8 and 12 x 9-inch toms and a 16 x 14-inch bass drum. Even the snare drum is taken care of, as you're also getting a 14 x 5-inch sized one of those. Its shells are made from 6 plies of birch and are 7.5 mm thick, and thanks to Tama's special Precision Bearing Edges and the small lugs, they can resonate freely. Even the wrap does its part in enhancing the sound of these drums (in addition to giving it a sleek look, ), as it has been glued to the entirety of the shell instead of just a few spots.

Cymbals and hardware

Included, you'll find a three-piece MCS cymbal pack by renowned cymbal manufacturer Meinl, which contains a pair of 14-inch hi-hat cymbals, a 16-inch crash and a 20-inch ride. You can mount these cymbals on three (also included) sturdy, durable and easy to use stands (straight, boom and hi-hat). The toms will feel right at home on Tama's tried-and-true tom mounting system, which is easy to adjust, but also provides the toms with plenty of stability, while allowing them to resonate freely. The special Accu-Tune bass drum hoops are also very reliable, and they make sure your bass drum stays in tune for much longer.
