This five-piece CA1-E825-BNB Catalina Ash Black Natural Burst shell set delivers the inimitable Gretsch sound! The shells of this great set have a Black Natural Burst finish and are made of 6-ply ash with special rounded bearing edges for a solid attack. Featuring a rock/fusion configuration, the set consists of a 22-inch bass drum, 10 and 12-inch toms, a 16-inch floor tom and a snare drum of 14 by 5.5 inches. Stands and cymbals are not included.

Eye for detail

This Gretsch Catalina Ash shell set features a number of small but significant details. The satin black lacquer leaves the wood grain clearly visible, creating a gorgeous, natural look. The CA1-E825-BNB set is equipped with a low-profile tom suspension system that allows your toms to resonate freely, and with ultra-slim tom brackets that enable you to place the toms close to one another. Rubber feet on the legs prevent your floor tom from sliding around while you're playing and provide additional stability, and each individual shell is adorned with a special Catalina Ash badge.

Hoops

The toms and snare drum of this Gretsch Catalina Ash shell set are equipped with 2mm triple-flanged hoops, and the bass drum features wooden hoops for optimal sound projection. The hoops securely tighten the Remo Coated Ambassador drumheads that come with the shell set, including bass drum heads with a muffle ring for a full-bodied kick.
