With the TrackPack 2x2, Tascam has composed a simple set that delivers top-quality results. The set consists of a US-2x2 interface, a TM-80 condenser microphone and a pair of TH-02 headphones, and also provides you with an XLR cable, a table stand and a shock mount for the microphone. Even software is included: both the LE edition of Cakewalk Sonar X3 and Ableton Live 9 are yours to get to work with. You'll be able to make comprehensive productions on a professional level!

Tascam Trackpack 2x2: the interface

Equipped with two high-grade Ultra-HDD microphone preamplifiers, the US 2x2 interface is capable of amplifying your microphone signal by 57 dB - plenty for even the most quiet signals. Naturally, distortion and noise are reduced to a minimum. The interface is not only compatible with Mac and PC, but with your iPad as well. In the latter case you will need an external power supply and an iOS camera kit, however, both of which are separately available. The interface's rugged design makes it ideal for mobile applications.

Headphones and microphone

It goes without saying that the first link of recording chain is essential for the overall quality. Fortunately, the TM-80 is a high-grade large-diaphragm condenser microphone, suitable for various sound sources. You can use it for vocals and acoustic instruments, but it can also handle louder audio sources like drums and brass instruments. With the TH-02 headphones you're fully equipped to evaluate the signals you've recorded. They optimally block out ambient sound, so you're able to fully focus on your music.
