Allmänt

The KEF X300A Wireless is a state-of-the-art speaker set that has built-in amplifiers, an innovative speaker construction, and wireless audio streaming. Gun Metal, which is the name of this edition, refers to the speaker's colour. The X300 Wireless supports audio streaming via Airplay or DLNA protocol, and is compatible with Mac OS X (10.6 and higher) and Windows (7 or higher). The wireless 802.11b/g standard (2.4 GHz) ensures seamless integration with a WiFi network, and it also has a LAN input for an Ethernet cable if you prefer not to use the wireless connection.

The X300A Wireless has KEF's Uni-Q speaker construction, which combines the woofer and tweeter, to create a homogeneous and detailed sound. There are no time differences, since high and low tones come from the same source, resulting in an exceptionally balanced sound. This technology was borrowed from the popular, high-end KEF Blade speakers. The X300A Wireless is made for those in search of a sophisticated active speaker set.

Amplification

Like any professional studio monitor, this KEF Hi-Fi speaker set also features a bi-amping amplifier. Both speakers have a class A/B amplifier, with 50 watts for the bass and 20 watts for the trebles. The separate amplification means that there is no distortion whatsoever, since the woofer and tweeter get their own clean signal. This design also produces quite a volume, without any distortion. And if you want to connect analogue audio sources to the X300A Wireless, simply use the mini jack AUX input.
