With the Satori, Antelope Audio has delivered a high-end monitor controller with summing functionality. The Satori - a Japanese Buddhist term referring to enlightenment - is a fully analogue device that can be controlled digitally. It was modelled after, and has the same high-grade characteristics as the acclaimed Eclipse 384. Volume control is managed by means of specially designed relays that achieve a stunning accuracy of 0.05 dB, and do not disturb the balance between the two stereo channels, even at low volume levels. Consequently, the Satori enables you to control even the most subtle nuances of your sound.

Antelope Satori: analogue summing engine

Analogue summing is often used by engineers who work completely 'in-the-box', but still want to blend their tracks in a natural way. The Satori's summing module features eight inputs that can be routed and controlled using the included software. Likewise, all of the monitor controller's functions - which can also be operated by means of the device's front-mounted controls - are operable by means of the software. You can even use it to create presets for various settings or users. Although all functions are digitally controlled, the signal chain is exclusively analogue, so your sound is never compromised.

Overview

Like any high-grade monitor controller, the Antelope Satori offers a number of standard features, such as a mono switch, a dim switch and a talkback function. To accommodate the latter, a built-in microphone is present, but you can also opt to connect your own external microphone. One of the Satori's more unique features is its mid/side monitoring option. The Antelope monitor controller is equipped with no fewer than four headphone outputs, each with its own volume control, and with four stereo outputs for four sets of monitors. Finally, a special LFE output allows you to add a subwoofer to your setup.
