The Korg Pitchblack XS Bass is a specially designed chromatic pedal tuner for gigging bassists. As such, this pro-grade tuner supports seriously low frequencies with a range that starts at C0, meaning it covers more than an octave below the low E string of your four-string or five-string bass. The Pitchblack XS Bass also features Ultra Buffer technology that's been optimised for deep and rich bass guitar sound, and you can switch from true bypass to buffered bypass at will.

The Pitchblack XS Bass: Display Modes for Darkness and Daylight

Despite its compact size, this stage tuner has been outfitted with a large display, making it easy to use. The built-in footswitch is incredibly responsive no matter how the pedal is set up, while the adjustable display brightness supports both playing in broad daylight as well as on dark stages. Triangular LED indicators fitted on both sides of the Pitchblack XS Bass clearly indicate when your tuning is dead-on.

Various Tuning Modes

Thanks to the built-in strobe mode, professional bassists who want to tune up with a ± 0.1 cent accuracy are fully indulged. What's more, besides standard chromatic mode and standard strobe mode, they're also treated to a half-strobe mode and a mirror mode. In mirror mode, the two LEDs are aligned such that they overlap from left to right and from right to centre. This way, you can spot pitch shifts based on the direction and speed of the movement, allowing you to correct even the smallest tuning errors and adjust accordingly.
