The Sony VPL-EW255 is a modern WXGA projector, equipped with a triple Bright Era LCD chip. At a native resolution of 1,280 by 800 pixels and an aspect ration of 16:10, this Sony projector is ideal for widescreen films and other widescreen visual media. A number of clever Picture Modes (Dynamic, Standard, Presentation, Blackboard, Game and Cinema) enable you to choose the right settings for any occasion. The Bright Era system ensures exceptionally sharp, clear visuals, while energy consumption is reduced. With a maximum light output of 3,200 ANSI lumens, the VPL-EW255 is capable of projecting onto screens of quite a considerable size.

Auto Light Dimming and Auto Lamp Mode

Thanks to advanced functionality such as Auto Light Dimming and Auto Lamp Mode, the VPL-EW255 is remarkable energy-efficient. The clarity of the lamp is automatically adjusted to optimally reproduce each scene or presentation slide, and when the projector is inactive, the lamp is automatically dimmed. Additionally, you can mute the lamp with a single push of a button, saving a lot of energy. The VPL-EW255 offers a choice of three clarity settings: High, Standard and Low. If you mainly use the Low setting, the lamp of the projector will last up to an impressive 10,000 hours.

Connecting options

The Sony VPL-EW255 is equipped with a practical range of video inputs, including SVGA, HDMI, S-Video and USB. The latter enables you to set up an ultra-quick connection for your presentations. A LAN output is also included, so it's possible to control the projector from a computer network. An iOS app (Projector Remote) is available for professional wireless operation of the VPL-EW255. Finally, the projector is equipped with a built-in 16-watt speaker that provides powerful sound to accompany your videos and visuals.
