Aguilar have made quite a name for themselves in the wondrous world of bass amplification over the years. In addition to their famous bass amplifiers and speaker cabinets, Aguilar make preamps to install into the guitar itself, they're called On-Board Preamps (OBP).
Properties of the Aguilar OBP-2SK
The OBP-2 preamp vastly expands the tone-control options of your bass guitar. It allows you to boost the bass and treble with up to 18 dB or choose to filter the bass and treble at a certain frequency. Aguilar's OBP-2SK comes with one stacked potentiometer for bass and treble, so you don't have to go about cutting additional holes into the body of your precious bass guitar to fit it.
