The Tremolo Probe is yet another wacky Z.Vex invention that's controlled via a footplate fitted with a proximity sensor: the closer your foot gets to the footplate, the more the volume is raised. This allows you to shape rhythmic variation based on volume, which is essentially also what a regular volume pedal does, but here there's no resistance offered by any internal mechanism. As such, you're able to drop in lightning-fast tremolos whenever you want!

Zachary Vex, founder of Z.Vex Effects, is an often-heard name in the world of innovative guitar effects. All of the brand's pedals are hand-made (by elves, according to Z.Vex), usually hand-painted and come in strictly limited numbers.
