An increasing amount of fixtures is fitted with an LED light source, but theatre spot lights with LED technology aren't very common yet. That is because of light output and colour temperature, mostly. Fortunately, Briteq succeeded in combining the best of conventional theatre spot lights with the versatility and durability of an LED fixture. Their BT-THEATRE is equipped with 16 CREE LEDs of 10 watts each that together produce a 12-degree beam with a light output of 10,480 lux at 2 metres. You can control the fixture with DMX, or manually via buttons and a display on the back.

BT-THEATRE-1EZ: a modern theatre spot light

As it is fitted with 16 CREE LEDs, this fixture produces a massive light output with a warm white light that is comparable to conventional theatre spot lights for a great effect on stage. To retain the classic lamp feel, however, you can set the lamp to four different response times. Additionally, the LEDs allow for a strobe effect from 0 to 100 Hz.

Controlling the THEATRE 1EZ

As we mentioned, you can manually control this fixture via the controller on the back or via DMX over 1, 2 or 5 channels - depending on your application. In the most elaborate version, the 5-channel mode, you can adjust the dimmer, strobe speed, and zoom with a resolution of up to 16 bits. Have a look at the connectors, and it’s clear that this is a professional fixture, as it features both 3-pin and a 5-pin DMX connectors.
