If a handheld microphone is not practical and a headset looks ridiculous, what to do if you still want to amplify your voice to reach a large number of people? Precisely for this purpose, Shure have developed the MC50 and MC51 lavalier microphones. These subminiature condenser microphones can easily be fastened to your clothing, after which they will reproduce your voice. Their frequency range reaches from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and therefore they pick up anything within human hearing. Two equalization caps that both treat sound differently, are also included. This way, you are granted a measure of control over the sound of your voice reproduction.

The MC series is available in two versions: the MC50B and the MC51B. The difference between these two is the pickup pattern: the MC50B is equipped with an omnidirectional pickup pattern, so that it picks up everything around itself, while the MC51B is equipped with a cardioid pickup pattern. This means that the latter is better suited for noisy venues, as the MC51B only picks up what happens directly above it. You will need to speak more clearly into the microphone, but you won't be bothered by the noise surrounding you! Both microphones are delivered including a magnetic clip, a tie-clip, a double tie-clip and a lapel clip. This way, you can rest assured that you will be able to securely fasten the microphone to your clothing, regardless of what you are wearing.
