The Yamaha MKA-07 is a professional mallet developed in collaboration with Keiko Abe, a Japanese marimba player. This stick is extremely light of weight, which ensures optimal resonance of the marimba keys and a warm and full sound.
This mallet has a soft core with a rubber layer, which ensures that you can play with expression. Its head has a diameter of 30 x 23 mm and is wound with sturdy yarn. The shaft is made of rattan and is 430 mm long. These additional centimetres (compared to a regular mallet) ensure a large range when you are playing. The used rattan provides extra flexibility and a high playing comfort. The Yamaha MKA-07 mallet is excellent for use in soft marimba parts.
This is an excellent mallet for he advanced and expressive marimba player. Equipped with a blue piece of tape that makes it clearly recognisable.
