The Yamaha MKA-06 is a professional mallet developed in collaboration with Keiko Abe, a Japanese marimba player. The core of this mallet consists of a layer of rubber, which ensures an expressive character. The Keiko Abe mallet series is heavier than standard mallets, this ensures a good resnoance of the marimba key. This mallet has a medium soft head, wound with rugged yarn with a diameter of 30 x 23 mm. Thanks to the longer shaft of 430 mm, you are provided with a larger range and you can easily bridge larger tone distances. The sound of this mallet is warm and full and excellent for the middle and low registers of the marimba.
This is a mallet for professional players. It has a rattan shaft which is slightly flexible, giving you optimal control over your playing. With the MKA-06 mallet, you can optimally bring out the warm sound of the marimba.
