The Perez 660 Cedro is a serious Spanish guitar for serious classical guitarists. If you haven't considered yourself a beginner for some time, but a handmade instrument is yet out of your grasp, then this nylon-string acoustic Perez guitar is the ideal compromise. It offers the same quality and finish as a more expensive guitar, only with a smaller price tag. The neck is equipped with an ebony strip for extra strength and stability, and the sound is fantastic too thanks to the 4/4 sized body with a solid cedar top, which provides a full, warm sound.

Sound characteristics of the Perez 660 Cedro

When choosing a classical guitar, it's important to know what kind of sound you're looking for. Do you want a bright, sparkling sound or a dark sound? If you're looking for something darker, then you're in the right place. That's because the Perez 660 Cedro is a solid-top guitar with a high-quality solid red cedar top and solid Indian rosewood sides/back. The result is a warmer, deeper sound than you'd get from a guitar with a spruce top, for instance. Furthermore, the neck is made of mahogany which fills in the sound with rich mids, and the black ebony fretboard adds just a bit of bright bite to complete the sound palette.

The finish of the Perez 660 Cedro simply radiates artisanship. Just like its older brothers, this guitar has a lovely, no-frills finish with subtle decorations such as rosewood bindings and a colourful wooden rosette. A dark reinforcement strip strengthens the neck and adds a chic touch and thin layer of high-gloss lacquer makes it complete. The Perez 660 is also available in the Abeto version with a solid spruce top for a brighter, more sparkling sound.
