Perez builds their guitars in Spain following centuries of tradition and using high-quality materials, so you know to expect excellent artisanship.The Perez 650 Abeto is identical to the 640 Abeto in every way, save for the addition of an ebony reinforcement strip in the neck for more strength and stability. Just like the 640, it features a solid German spruce top with Indian rosewood sides and back. Furthermore, the mahogany neck is equipped with an ebony fretboard, and the headstock features a set of high-quality gold-plated tuners.

Perez 650 Abeto: solid spruce top

There's a lot of talk about solid tops in the world of acoustic guitars, and for good reason. The term means that the top of a guitar body is made of solid wood instead of laminated wood - in this case, solid spruce. Spruce is known for providing a full, clear sound with excellent balance, and because the top is made of solid spruce, the body resonates better. Improved resonance means more volume, better projection and more sustain. Furthermore, the rosewood sides and back featured on this Spanish guitar aren't just attractive, they also add depth to the sparkling overtones.

Neat, stylish finish

The finish of the Perez 650 Abeto simply radiates artisanship. Just like its older brothers, this guitar has a lovely, no-frills finish with subtle decorations such as rosewood bindings and a colourful wooden rosette. A dark reinforcement strip strengthens the neck and adds a chic touch, and thin layer of high-gloss lacquer makes it complete. Finally, the Perez 650 is also available with a solid cedar top (Cedro model) for a warmer, darker sound.
