The mouthpiece is a crucial part of any wind instrument, and not only does it dictate how hard you have to blow but it influences the overall timbre of the instrument. With the MP CL 5C Yamaha offers you a mouthpiece with excellent playing characteristics for Bb clarinet. Compared with the 4C mouthpiece the 5C sounds fuller, richer and has more tonal variety.

Standard Series

Yamaha offers a wide assortment of mouthpieces in their Standard series. These mouthpieces are fashioned from phenol, a type of high-quality synthetic material, and their design is borrowed from the Custom series so you can be sure of good, consistent quality. The Standard series mouthpieces are easier to play than those of the Custom series, and as such are excellent for beginners. For most of the Standard series mouthpieces you can choose from different sizes.
