The ATR6550 is a condenser microphone in pencil-size that is especially well suited for use with cameras. This mic features an internal AA battery and has a fixed mono mini jack connector (3.5 mm) with a 1m cable. A camera mount that is specifically designed for fastening to a camera and a conventional microphone clip are included.

ATR6550: two-fold pickup pattern

This surprisingly affordable Audio Technica is designed specifically for ENG applications. A special trump card is the special switchable pickup pattern, which lets you choose between a normal and a tele setting. The first ensures a cardioid pickup pattern, but when you need to record something that is a long way away you can use the tele setting.
