DB Technologies RDNet Control 2 controller

Allmänt

This RDNet Control 2 by dB Technologies and sister company RCF is a real time monitor and control system. You can connect all kinds of devices to this controller and monitor and control them via a PC. The controller can handle these audio devices: dB Technologies’ DVA T12 active line array speaker, DVA S30N active subwoofer and the DVA S1521N active subwoofer. The RCF devices include the TTL series of line array models, the TT series of monitors and speakers, and the TT series of subwoofers. The Control 2 has been designed to set up a network to which 64 audio devices can be connected. These are divided into two subnets which each support 32 audio devices, and the interface is controlled with software for Microsoft Windows® (XP or higher) computer systems.

Controlling

You connect audio devices to the RDNet Control 2 controller, which in turn will be connected to a PC. In this way, the controller is a data conduit between the audio devices and the PC. Typically you can connect the controller to the PC via a USB cable, but if the PC and controller are far away from one another, you can also connect the two with an Ethernet cable. Use the controller via the included Synoptic0 computer software, which also allows you to see the status of the connected audio devices' monitors in real time - for example, the temperature of one of the devices or a VU meter. Moreover, you can also adjust device settings with the program by making groups and using advanced equalizers, for instance. Furthermore, you can save your adjustments on the PC, so you don't have to adjust your device all over again every time. You also have the option of making different profiles for all kinds of occasions, such as festivals or gigs.
