Sire present the Marcus Miller V10-5 2nd Gen: a five-string electric solid-body bass with a J-style core that many of today's bassists are bound to be captivated by. This mid-range model bass stands out with its classy looks, contemporary quality sound and amplified adaptability. Its modern appearance is commanded by a maple top with flamed veneer and a superbly playable and stable roasted maple neck with rounded fretboard edges and, to match the maple with fitting wood, Sire decided to construct the rest of the body using swamp ash. A transparent pickguard comes included but hasn't been installed as to not directly conceal the stunning body of the V10-5 2nd Gen.
The Sire Marcus Miller V10-5 2nd Generation: Diverse, Balanced & Powerful
The aforementioned wood types ensure a carefully balanced tonal foundation with fresh accents that's handed over to the electronics via a pair of Marcus Premium J-Revolution single-coils. Besides an active and passive mode, this Marcus Miller V10-5 2nd has extensive tone controls for not only sweeping changes to the mids in your amplified bass sound, but a solid dose of lows to hold your own in any style of music. Tuning stability and sound transfer are fully up to snuff as well, seeing as Sire have fitted a bone string nut, robust Marcus Miller Heavy Mass Standard bridge and premium open-gear machine heads. To finish and for safe transportation, this 2nd Gen Marcus Miller comes complete with its own gig bag.
