All of the bass guitars in the Okoume range have a natural finish that beautifully brings out the natural look of the body. Okoume looks like mahogany, yet has tonal characteristics that are remarkably similar to maple - a prominent base tone with lengthy sustain.

Fender DLX Active Jazz Bass Okoume RW: familiar playing comfort with a modern twist

The maple neck and rosewood fretboard ensure a nice bite with a pleasantly rounded Jazz Bass sound. The fretboard features a 9.5-inch radius and 20 medium jumbo frets for the familiar Fender playing comfort with a modern touch. The neck still feels like that of a J-Bass yet it allows you to play faster a little easier and smoother. Additionally, to enhance the natural sustain and tuning stability, this Deluxe Active Bass is fitted with a Fender Hi-Mass bridge with four adjustable saddles and vintage-style open tuners.

The Deluxe series offers guitars with an excellent price-to-quality ratio. Like all Okoume bass guitars, this one also features Fender's active electronics that consist of an active 3-band EQ and ultra-silent Noiseless pickups. The two Noiseless pickups might look and sound like traditional single-coils, but thanks to their stacked dual coil design they're as silent as humbuckers, so no more 50Hz hum. The volume, blend and 3-band EQ (boost/cut) potentiometers allow you to govern a vast area of bass guitar sounds.
