Allmänt
The Roland Super UA is a USB sound card with a breakout box, two line inputs, two mic inputs and four line outputs. The sleek, flat audio interface offers more than just a practical set of inputs and outputs, though - you can also use it to exchange 32-bit/192kHz PCB data with your computer, or to play back 1-bit DSD files (a format that is used for Super Audio CD (SACD), for instance). Protected by a high-grade metal housing, the Super UA produces an exceptionally transparent sound with a wide dynamic range.
Super UA: on the road
Not all the inputs and outputs of the Super UA are located on the interface itself, which is particularly practical if you're in a hurry to go - simply leave your microphones and monitor speakers plugged into the breakout box, detach the breakout cable and power supply, and take the interface with you. Other factors that make this Roland device ideal for use on the road are its rugged and stable housing made of die-cast metal, and its illuminated buttons and volume knob, which make it easy to operate even on a dark stage.
Connectors
Feel free to plug a wide range of devices into the Super UA. Microphones can be connected to the two mic inputs on the external breakout box - both of these channels are capable of supplying phantom power for your condenser mics. Next to the microphone inputs you'll find two balanced XLR line outputs that'll transmit your signal to your monitor speakers without any interference. A second set of speakers can be connected to the line outputs of the interface itself. Additionally, there are two extra inputs, suitable for the line signal of a synthesizer, for instance, and two headphones connectors (3.5 and 6.3mm jacks) located at the front.
