Characteristics of the Yamaha RGX121Z BL

The RGX121Z has been given the same design as its big brothers from the RGX series. It has a comfortably formed solid body with two deep cutaways for easy access to the 22nd fret. The back of the neck is finished with a matte and silky lacquer for optimal playing comfort. For the bridge, Yamaha chose a vintage style tremolo that you can use to create subtle or dramatic vibrato effects. The supple yet solid tuners keep the guitar well in tune.

No matter what your taste in music is, with the Yamaha RGX121Z BL you'll always be able to find just the right sound. This guitar is armed with two humbucker pickups in the bridge and neck positions respectively, with a single-coil pickup in the middle. The humbuckers have a higher output than the single-coil giving them a fuller, warmer sound that's great for rougher music from blues-rock to metal. The bright, clear sound of the single-coil is perfect for funky cleans, and with the 5-way switch you can choose from these three pickups or two combinations of them.
