Even though they may look the same, this black Yamaha Pacifica 112V has some very clear differences compared to the Pacifica 112 J. For starters, the pickguard takes a different shape and the volume knobs are chrome-plated. The tone knob has been upgraded to feature push/pull coil tap function that splits your powerful humbucker into a sparkling single-coil pickup, and the pickups of the 112 V are equipped with Alnico V magnets to give them a tight, vintage tone.

The body of the Pacifica 112V is made of solid alder, which is a popular wood type for electric guitars due to its light weight and rich, balanced sound. The high mids are slightly more outspoken, giving the guitar a sound that sings out above the rest. The 22-fret screw-mounted neck is fashioned from maple and features a rosewood fretboard with a thin profile and a flatter 13.75-inch radius for optimal playing comfort.

Tremolo bridge and ring-mount humbucker

The bridge of the Yamaha Pacifica 112V is a vintage-style tremolo, which means that with the included handle you can influence the tension of the strings to create awesome vibrato effects The solid saddles ensure a rich sustain and deep intonation. Just like the high-end Pacifica models, there is a bridge pickup mounted on the body via a black mounting ring. The mounting ring helps pick up more vibrations from the body, which in turn creates a more dynamic tone than when mounted on the pickguard.
