The Schecter Damian Elite-6 is very clear about its intentions, which is being the best black solid-body metal guitar a metal head could wish for. It has a mahogany body for rich mids and full bass sounds. The beautiful arched top has a metallic black finish. This Schecter is a serious black metal axe with a playability that is sure to win the hearts of many metal forgers. Its slender C-shaped neck, fitted with 24 extra-jumbo frets, allows for smooth playing. Other striking features include the pearloid Gothic Dot position markers.

Damien Elite-6 Metallic Black: construction

The Damien Elite-6 has a bolt-on neck joint and a fretboard made of rosewood. Its tuners are made by Grover, ensuring great tuning and tuning stability. There's no tremolo bridge on this Schecter, but a fixed string-thru Tune-O-Matic bridge ensures richer body resonance and sustain. Additionally, the GraphTech XL Black Tusq string nut offers exceptionally low friction, which greatly reduces the risk of broken strings. It helps to achieve harmonically rich sounds without the discomfort of a bone string nut.

EMG 81 and 85

Schecter fitted the Damien Elite-6 with an active EMG humbucker duo. There's an EMG 81 humbucker at the bridge for a bright lead sound that'll help you pierce through any mix with ease, and an EMG 85 in the neck position. The 85 is the dedicated partner of the EMG 81 and it is perfect for rhythm parts. This type of pickup has been around for years and for good reason, as it offers an excellent tonal balance - making it the more refined version of the EMG 81. Additionally, a 3-way pickup switch and volume and tone controls fully complete the Schecter Damien Elite 6.
