This Fender Telecaster from the Custom Shop Artist series has received an indelible stand from John 5. This steampunk pearl combines ancient and modern by stealing elements from other models. The mounted Bigsby tailpiece doesn't only provide vintage, atmospheric vibrato but accents the mirrored pick-guard and chrome hardware. The head has been ripped from a twelve-string model that doesn't only make you feel like your toting Frankenstein's monster, but reassures you with great resonance. This genuinely unique Telecaster comes complete with a case, a fistful of accessories and a certificate of authenticity.
Fender Custom Shop J5: Construction
As the ex-guitarist of Marilyn Manson (among others), John 5 not only shreds with incredible ease but has also stepped effortlessly into genres like country. To get the best range from his Tele, he has opted for an ash body to maintain the transparency and character of every string. To give the guitar enough of an industrial edge, a Seymour Duncan Hotrail is mounted at the bridge. This single coil humbucker adds a thick layer of output while the Custom Shop "Twisted" single coil at the neck provides that typical Tele twang. This is a widely applicable guitar for the guitarist who loves diversity.
John 5
John William Lowery, better known as John 5, is an American guitarist with a rich career as a solo artist and as a guitarist in various bands. He was hand picked by David Lee Roth, with whom he earned recognition for his virtuoso and emotive playing style. He was then head-hunted by Marilyn Manson (the man responsible for the nickname) with whom he worked for six years. Since 2005, John 5 has been mainly active with cult figure and film director Rob Zombie. He also has eight solo albums to his name and, as a session musician with Paul Stanley (Kiss) and Sebastian Bach, he has certainly earned his spurs.
