The Danny Gatton Signature Telecaster from Fender is based on Gatton's own Telecaster from the 1950s. He has customised this model in many ways to create a special instrument with great performance. It's a real eye-catcher thanks to the Frost Gold finish. The luxurious theme continues with side markers made of Cubic Zirkonia! This synthetic stone, with diamond-like qualities, reflects light so that even on the darkest of stages you won't lose your playing position. Danny is unfortunately no longer with us, but thanks to this high quality Telecaster his unique sound lives on. Delivery includes a case and accessories.

Custom Shop Danny Gatton Telecaster: construction

The body of the Gatton Telecaster is made from Premium Ash. Ash helps to give a clear tone, perfect for the music styles associated with Telecasters, like country and rock. It's also relatively light, which makes playing a comfortable experience. The playing comfort is further enhanced thanks to the U-shaped neck profile. You'll notice that your hand fits naturally around the neck. Made from birdeye maple, the neck adds to the special overall look of this guitar. Intonation and trunk stability is provided by the special bridge with brass saddles. Fender Custom Designed pickups produce that typical Telecaster twang!

Danny Gatton

Danny Gatton was an American guitarist who combined elements of rockabilly, jazz and country to create his own unique style. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine chose Gatton as one of the best guitarists of all time. His career began to take off when, together with Buddy Emmons, he performed virtuoso licks with the Redneck Jazz Explosion. He later played with names such as Robert Gordon and Roger Miller. His nickname "The Humbler" came from the Jam Sessions in which his fellow musicians were 'taught a lesson in humility' by his exceptional guitar playing. Danny Gatton was a unique guitarist with a style all of his own and it's very sad that he is no longer around to impress us with his playing.
